In terms of cosmetics, Africa Twin Adventure Sports gets a new three-tone color scheme (red, Blue, white). The wire spokes rims gets golden base while spokes remain chrome. This unique three-tone paint scheme is inspired from the Dakar Rally winning Honda XRV650 Africa Twin. The rally winning Africa Twin celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017. Going further, the fuel tank capacity is raised for the Africa Twin Adventure Sports. It can now carry 24.2-litre of fuel. In comparison, the Standard Africa Twin gets an 18.8 litres fuel capacity. The ground clearance for this sportier variant is raised by 20mm to get to 270mm. The engine of Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports remains identical to the standard bike. It gets a 998cc, parallel-twin motor that’s liquid cooled and fuel-injected. This motor produces 95 Ps of power at 7,500 rpm and 99 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The Adventure Sports Edition will be offered with 6-Speed manual or DCT automatic gearbox.

Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports has a kerb weight of 243 kilograms for the manual gearbox bike and 253 kilograms for the DCT automatic-equipped model. In comparison, the standard Africa Twin is 2 kilograms lighter.

The seat ride height is upped in the Adventure Sports edition to reach 899 mm from 850mm of standard variant.
The Honda Africa Twin rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels that are made from stainless steel, which run on 90/90 R21 front and 150/70 R18 rear tube-type knobby tires.

This electronically advanced adventure tourer gets features like Honda Selectable Torque Control, ride by wire, ABS, and an optional quickshifter for the manual gearbox. Additionally, there are four riding modes on offer- Tour, Urban, Gravel, and User preference.
