Engine and Safety-

The workhorse in the Honda Cliq is the same 110cc single cylinder BS-4 engine that propels the Activa and Navi. This engine produces 8 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 8.94 Nm of torque. Being utilitarian does not mean that the Honda has cut corners regarding safety. The Honda Cliq is equipped with Combi-Braking System (CBS) that evenly distributes the braking force on the front and rear wheels even if you press just one lever. It also gets a maintenance free battery.

Explaining more about the concept of Cliq, Minoru Kato – President and CEO, HMSI said, “Six out of 10 two-wheelers sold in India belong to 100-110cc segment. Within this segment, automatic scooters have witnessed tremendous growth and now count for almost half of the total size. With the highly increasing demand and varied customer needs, this segment is poised to sub-segmentation. As the leaders of scooter category, Honda has developed CLIQ which would address the needs of customers with the added value of comfort and convenience.”
