Launched: Honda Grazia Scooter

After dominating the Indian market with scooters like Active, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India launched the Grazia automatic scooter. The pricing of Honda Grazia has been kept at Rs 57,879 (ex-showroom) which is nearly same as the Activa 125 price by around Rs 1500. Concept and USP

Honda is calling it the ‘Urban Advanced Scooter’ and targeting it towards the young urban audience looking for a peppy and stylish scooter. Honda Grazia comes with sets a new benchmark in the scooter category by offering features like all-LED headlight, digital instrument cluster, three-step eco-speed indicator, and combi-brakes with an equalizer. For superior control, Honda Grazia comes with telescopic fork leading to 12-inch rim shod with 90/90 size tyre. The rear gets a 10-inch wheel with 90/100 size tyre.Keeping up with the times, the Grazia comes with a dedicated pocket for the mobile phones and an optional phone charger. There are six colours on offer- red, metallic orange, gloss black, white, metallic grey and metallic blue. Apart from the colour options, one also gets three variant options. The top-end variant gets disc brakes on both wheels.

Engine-

Like the Activa 125, the Grazia is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine that makes 8.7 PS of power and 10.54Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an automatic CVT transmission.

Minoru Kato, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said, “The Grazia is the most advanced scooter in its category with industry-first features like LED head lamp, fully digital meter”.

The closest competitor seems to be the Aprilia SR150 and Suzuki Access 125, which themselves are very capable scooters. However, Grazia benefits from some segment-first features and Honda’s dealer network and trust factor.
