Kawasaki Launches Limited-Edition Z800 at Rs 7.50 lakh

Kawasaki Z800 will be replaced with Z900 in 2017

Kawasaki has launched the limited edition Z800 in India, priced at Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). A unique thing about this limited edition model is the new paint scheme that incorporates blue, black and red accents. Apart from that, the bike is still the same Z800 under the skin.

The limited edition Z800 sports blue tail section and upper headlight cowl. The color is very nicely balanced with the glossy black tank with a small blue stripe running along the lower part. Additionally, there is the golden colored front fork, blue rim tapes and a few red and white decals.

The Kawasaki Z800 is powered by an 806cc inline 4-cylinder engine that churns out 113PS of max power at 10,200rpm along with 83Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. The suspension duties are performed by KYB forks at the front and a fully adjustable remote-reservoir-equipped rear shock. The stopping power comes from the dual 277mm petal discs up front and a single 216mm disc at the rear.

First introduced in India in 2014, the Z800 has received good response from the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. This can be credited to good build quality, punchy inline-4 engine, competitive pricing and wide distributor network of Bajaj Probiking showrooms. Interestingly, Kawasaki recently unveiled the successor of Z800, the Z900 at the Intermot 2016. The Z900 should replace the Z800 in India next year. Therefore, this limited edition Z800 could be the company’s way of celebrating the success of Z800 and also keep the sales numbers steady.
