Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition Launched

Kawasaki Motors India launched the latest 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition in India. The pricing for this motorcycle has been kept at Rs 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The KRT limited Edition model comes with a special colour scheme and does not bring any mechanical changes compared to the standard Ninja 650. (Read: When 2017 Ninja 650 was unveiled at Intermot)

Previously, the KRT Edition paint scheme was well appreciated on the Kawasaki ZX-10R. KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team and includes a lively combination of green, grey and black. The good thing here is that the KRT Edition Ninja 650 comes at the same price as the standard version. The bookings for the Ninja 650 KRT has commenced across all Kawasaki India dealerships.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 underwent a facelift earlier this year itself. It now has new trellis frame, sportier design, and improved parallel twin engine. Moreover, the ABS-equipped brakes now come as standard. This touring motorcycle is powered by a 650cc parallel twin engine that makes 68PS of power and 65.7 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-Speed gearbox that has assist and slipper clutch. That’s to the ground up improvements, this bike is around 22kg lighter than the earlier model.

The design of the 2017 Ninja 650 is a huge advancement over the previous model. The sedate looks are replaced by the ZX-10R inspired sportier design. The instrument cluster is now a mix of an analogue dial and digital speedo readout.
