Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Adventure Tourer is priced at Rs 4.6 lakh

The adventure touring motorcycle segment in India is picking very well. The sales numbers of bikes like Royal Enfield Himalayan and Triumph Tiger proves this as well. Now Kawasaki has launched the Versys-X 300 in India, priced at Rs 4.6 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is powered by a 296cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled engine that pumps out 40PS of power at 11500 rpm and 25.7 Nm of torque at 10000 rpm. This is the same engine that powers the Kawasaki Ninja 300 entry-level sport bike. (Kawasaki’s other latest offering- Ninja 1000 and Z900)

Mr Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, said: “The Versys-X 300 will offer a high level of riding excitement and rider confidence in a wide variety of roads. What makes Versys-X 300 versatile is comfortable highway cruising and easy riding in the city.”

 

 

To prove its adventure touring prowess, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 comes fitted with a 41mm long travel front forks, monoshock at the rear, fuel capacity of 17-litres, wide handlebars, wide pillion seat and low seat height. The Kawasaki Versys 300 features a highly rigid backbone frame to tackle bad roads effectively. Moreover, this entry-level Kawasaki adventure tourer has advanced heat management technology. This maintains better airflow not only on the radiator but also on tank and frame for maximum rider comfort.

Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is imported into the country via CKD route and then assembled at company’s facility in Chakan, Pune. The bookings for this new adventure touring bike is now open across all Kawasaki dealerships.
