2018 Land Cruiser Prado Priced at Rs 92.60 lakh

Toyota has launched the 2018 Land Cruiser Prado in India after showcasing it recently at the Auto Expo. The price of this latest Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV has been kept at Rs 92.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Prado comes with several updates both in terms of features and looks. Looks

2018 Land Cruiser now looks much more premium product compared to the utilitarian looking previous model. The boxy headlights are replaced with the modern LED headlights, the front grille is bigger and also sits higher up. From the side, the Prado is mostly unchanged. Moving to the rear, the bumper design is fresh and comes with LED lights.

Interiors

Step inside the new Prado, and you’ll notice that its’ vastly different than the outgoing model. Dashboard has a new design with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit sitting in the middle. The steering wheel now has electronic adjustability. The seats have heating and cooling function. Other comfort features include cooled cup holders, puddle light, and 3-zone climate control.

Engine & Gearbox

The engine on the Prado remains the same. It’s a diesel 3.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged unit that pumps 173PS of power and 410Nm of torque. The engine is paired with the 5-Speed automatic gearbox. The 4WD modes can be switched on the fly. The new Land Cruiser Prado features Toyota Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) that uses adaptive dampers. The damper settings can also be controlled by three modes- Comfort, Normal, and Sport. (Know about different types of automatic gearboxes)

Safety

This 7-seater SUV is loaded with passenger safety features like active headrests on the front seats to reduce whiplash impact, stability control, ABS, EBD and Brake Assist, 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitor and a 360-degree parking camera system.
