Bookings Open for New Honda Amaze

Honda showcased the 2nd generation Amaze at the 2018 AutoExpo and generated a lot of queries about it. Now, Honda dealerships have started taking bookings for the new Amaze as the car is scheduled to launch in May 2018. The books can be made by depositing Rs 21,000. However, the variants and the pricing is still not disclosed.

New Honda Amaze features an all-new look but the changes go much deeper. The entire platform of the Amaze is all-new. First introduced in 2013, Honda Amaze became a successful model for the Japanese manufacturer.

Drivetrain options

2nd Generation Honda Amaze will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. Moreover, it will also be the first car in its segment to come with CVT automatic gearbox in a diesel engined car.

Rajesh Goel Senior VP and Marketing and Sales Director, Honda Cars India said, “The Honda Amaze has been one of our very successful models in India, with over 2.57 lakh satisfied customers. With the 2nd generation Amaze, we are extremely excited to add another chapter to the success story of the model. It’s a big commitment from HCIL to its customers and for us, it’s ‘Time To Go Big’. The introduction of India’s Diesel CVT technology in the new Amaze, which offers unmatched and superior automatic driving experience, is also a first from Honda globally. We are confident the customers will see great value in this new technology.”

Honda has some interesting plans for this year as they are planning to bring the new Civic and also the new CR-V to the market. The start with the new Amaze should be good for them. Honda Amaze competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire in the Indian market. And this update was necessary as the Dzire was recently revamped as well.
