Launched: Honda Accord Hybrid, Price- Rs 37 lakh

Honda has launched the Accord Hybrid sedan in India with a price tag of Rs 37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Honda Accord has been sold in the country for over a decade and thus enjoys the brand recognition. Although, the company had to discontinue the model in 2013 due to lack of demand. Now, the latest Accord Hybrid is brought in via CBU route. The launch was hinted earlier when the Hybrid Accord was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The new generation Accord follows the profile of the previous generation models but with a touch of modern appeal. It sports sleek LED headlights and tail lights. Even the fog lamps are now LED that sits just below the headlights. The car rides on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels that accentuate the sharp yet elegant lines of the saloon.

The cabin of the Honda Accord Hybrid is loaded with new age tech and features. Two screens find it place on the center console as they can work separately to display navigation, rear camera and infotainment user interface. The sedan features blind-spot detection and other luxuries like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and electric seats.

Honda’s flagship model in India is powered by a 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 145PS of max power and 175Nm of peak torque. The engine is helped by a 1.3 kWh electric motor that provides a combined power output of 215PS. The Accord Hybrid utilises automatic CVT gearbox that features three driving modes: EV Mode, ECON Mode, and a Sport Mode. The company claimed fuel efficiency stands at 23.1 kmpl

The Accord Hybrid can be had in four colors: Crystal Black Pearl, Orchid White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic.
