Most of the details about the Ignis was already leaked a couple of weeks back. And like expected, the Ignis will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine that serves the Baleno. But unlike Baleno whose automatic variant is only offered with a petrol engine, the Ignis is offered with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) for both the engines. Apart from the AMT gearbox, the Ignis can be also had with a 5-Speed manual transmission.
The unconventional design continues inside also. A dual-tone dashboard with floating style touchscreen takes prominence with a new four-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The feature list is also long that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible centre console, along with Bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity; climate control, and ambient lighting.
The bookings for the Ignis were opened a while back, and it has already registered around 6,000 bookings. The waiting period of the car currently stands at six to eight week. Due to its uniqueness, we couldn’t find a direct competition of Ignis. However, we did though about it a lot. Find out here- Ignis Competition Check Part-1 & Ignis Competition Check Part-2
