New 2018 BMW X3 Launched with Petrol Engine (Price Inside)

The third-generation BMW X3 was launched two months back in India. Now as expected, a 2.0-litre Petrol engine variant (xDrive30i) has been added to the X3 to accompany the 3.0-litre diesel engine. The price for the BMW X3 Petrol has been kept at Rs 56.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This new 2018 X3 is based on the BMW’s CLAR (cluster architecture) platform that made it loose around 55kg.

Engine & Gearbox

BMW X3 Petrol (xDrive30i) comes with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder twin-turbo engine that pumps out 255.5 Ps of power and 350Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to an 8-Speed automatic transmission. The driver gets to control the gear changes via paddles behind the steering wheel or using the gear selector lever. The light weight and decent power can push the X3 from 0-100 kph in just 6.3 seconds. There are four driving modes on offer as well- Eco, Pro, Comfort, Sport, Sport+. Features

BMW X3 xDrive30i comes in Luxury Line trim and comes loaded with features. It includes LED foglamps, LED lights, chrome front grille, 19-inch alloys, motorized tailgate opener, and rear spoiler.

Interiors

The new X3 comes with fully revamped interiors. The dashboard layout and the seats are all new with extensive use to leather and soft touch plastics. The size of infotainment screen is bigger and also includes gesture control feature like the new 5-Series and the 7-Series. Apple CarPlay and Android auto comes as standard equipment. Other cool features worth mentioning are park assist with rear camera, smartphone holder in the center console, 3-zone climate control, Harman Kardon sound system, phone wireless charger, and the popular BMW display key. The luggage space of the new X3 is rated at 550 litres. But fold the seats down and you can get a massive 1600 litre of hauling space.

Safety Features

For the safety, the BMW X3 comes with six airbags, attentiveness assistance, Cornering braking control, electric parking with autohold, side impact protection and dynamic stability control.
