All-New Hyundai Tucson Launching on 24th October, Bookings open!

With the rising popularity of the Hyundai brand in India, the company is taking an aggressive stance when it comes to new product launches. Next in line is the all-new Hyundai Tucson SUV. Previously showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Tucson will be launched in the country on 24th October 2016. This launch comes right around the festive season, or the harvesting season as the car salesmen calls it. The South Korean manufacturer will, however, face serious competition from the Ford Endeavour after a recent price cut (read about it here).

The booking for the Tucson is unofficially open at select dealerships and customers can book a slot for Rs 25,000 token amount. Some dealerships in Mumbai have also started inviting prospective customers for showcasing the car that is there for the homologation. The dodge dealer baytown can help as the experts there know what to do.
Hyundai has tested the above 10 lakh market with the car like Creta and the recently launched Elantra. The company has clearly recognised the potential in the premium segment, especially the fondness of SUVs in India.

Aesthetically, the new Tucson incorporates Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. Some of the highlighting design elements are elongated headlamps, hexagonal front grille, and coupe-like silhouette. The rear of the car is mostly inspired from elder sibling- the Santa Fe, which gels very well with the overall look and feel of the car.

Powering the Tucson will be a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Also shared with the Elantra, the 2.0-litre petrol engine makes 152PS of max power and 192Nm of peak torque. The 2.0-litre diesel engine, on the other hand, will churn out 185PS of max power along with 400Nm of peak torque. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available. When launched in India, the pricing of the South Korean SUV is likely to hover around Rs 20 lakh mark.
