Nissan GT-R Launched for Rs 1.99 Crore

Nissan has launched its highly acclaimed supercar, the GT-R in the country. The pricing of the Nissan GT-R has been kept at Rs 1.99 Crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). This launch of this car was long awaited as it was also showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. Japanese manufacturer claims that the 2017 GT-R updates are the most important since its launch of R35 GT-R in 2007. The booking of the GT-R can be made by depositing Rs 25 lakh.

Design wise, the 2017 GT-R gets a lot of aerodynamic bits and bobs including a wider V-motion grille. Like the previous model, the supercar carries on with its understated looks. The interiors of the GT-R aren’t left untouched either. It now gets a new dashboard design and an 8-inch infotainment unit.

The centre console now houses fewer buttons for a cleaner look and ease of use. The interface of the infotainment designed by Polyphony Digital, the studio that had previously worked on the Gran Turismo video game.

The Nissan continues to use its masterpiece 24-valve 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo engine but with a slightly different tune. It now makes 565 PS of max power (12PS more than the previous model) and 633Nm of peak torque (5Nm more than the previous model). The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The company claims that the GT-R is capable of posting 0-100kmph time of under 3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 315kmph.

India will get a European-spec Premium Edition GT-R. The car can be had in following colours- Katsura Orange (new 2017 addition), Vibrant Red, Pearl Black, Racing Blue, Pearl White, Gun Metallic and Ultimate Silver. And the interior shades option includes Red, Tan, Black & Ivory.
