The Porsche Macan R4 will primarily compete with the Jaguar F-Pace in the Indian market that is priced at Rs 72.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). A major contributor for this aggressive pricing is a 2.0-litre, 4 cylinder petrol turbocharged engine that benefits from the lower customs duties. This powerhouse produces 250PS of max power and 370Nm of peak torque that is enough to propel the Macan R4 from 0-100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds and reach a top whack of 229 kmph.

The engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels. The unique value proposition of the Macan is that it comes with Porsche’s air suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) as a standard fitment.

The Macan R4 is the 4th addition to the Macan lineup in India. Other variants in the line-up include Macan Turbo, Macan S diesel, and Macan Turbo with Performance pack
