Revamped Hyundai Grand i10 Launched, Priced at Rs 4.58 lakh

Spreading like forest fire is the news of Hyundai Grand i10’s revamp, which made a digital appearance. As for the petrol variants, the price ranges from Rs 4.58 lakh to Rs 6.39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. On the other hand, the diesel variants range from Rs 5.68 lakh to Rs 7.32 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. On the design front, it reflects its European counterpart. The most highlighting feature is the new trademark in the form of cascading grille. The foglamps that were traditionally positioned in the centre will now be positioned differently with a strip of daytime running lamps. The new alloy wheels are the only visible change in the profile and a new bumper, identical to the European counterpart is the key change in the rear. The Grand is offered in five variants and you can find the list of prices at the end.

Most changes featured in the new Grand i10 are cosmetic in nature and apart from these the major one is a new diesel engine. A brand new U2 CRDi engine has replaced the old 1.1 litre CRDi, displacing 1.2 liter and making 4 PS and 30 Nm over the old model. Result is a maximum power of 75 PS as opposed to 71 PS and maximum torque of 190 Nm, instead of 160 Nm. This upgrade has a much tougher mid-range than before. With no change, the petrol engine is the same old 1.2 litre Kappa motor which generates 83 PS as maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. This is complemented by a choice of two gearboxes- 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. While the diesel version comes with a manual box, the petrol versions of Magna and Sportz can be paired with an automatic gearbox.

The top Asta model offers a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The other versions offer a 5-inch touchscreen. Other features include voice recognition, reverse camera and automatic climate control.
