Tata Nexon new XZ variant Added

Tata has added a new XZ variant to the Nexon compact SUV. Tata Nexon XZ fills the gap between XT and XZ+. The pricing of this new variant has been kept at Rs 7.99 lakh for the petrol and Rs 8.99 lakh for the diesel engine trim (ex-showroom). This roughly translates to about Rs 82,000 extra over the Nexon XT.

The commanded premium is justified by addition of several features like 6.5-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, rear parking camera with sensors and dynamic assist, rear view mirror with day and night mode, body coloured rear view mirrors, projector headlamps, height adjustable driver seat, four tweeters and fabric inserts on the doors.

As you can see, the features list covers almost everything that most of the people want. You will just miss out on things like the optional dual-tone roof, LED Daytime running lights, fog lamps, 16-inch alloys and push to start.

Tata Nexon comes with two engine options- 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel. Both these engine makes 110PS of power but as expected the diesel makes 260 Nm of torque and the petrol engine makes 170 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Tata is also expected to launch AMT gearbox for Nexon soon.
