Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus Launched

Volkswagen has finally launched the Highline Plus variant of the Vento that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The pricing for the car starts at Rs 10.84 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The Highline Plus will sit on top of the Vento variant list. It costs Rs 92,300 more than the Vento Highline, which was the top-spec Vento until now.

It comes with full LED headlamps with daytime running LED DRLs and comes equipped with a rear-view parking camera. Additionally, the Vento Highline Plus has all the features offered in the Vento Highline variant. It has turn indicators on OVRMs, alloy wheels, 3D-effect tail lamps, auto-dimming IRVM, cooled glove box, automatic rain sensing wipers, rear AC vents and steering mounted controls.vento-highline-plus-rear

On the mechanical front, the new Volkswagen Vento uses the same engine options on offer as other variants. You can choose between a 1.6-litre MPI naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol, 1.2-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol, or a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. The diesel variant is available with both manual and automatic transmissions, but the 1.2 petrol engine can only be had with DSG automatic gearbox. Some of the competitors of VW Vento areHonda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna. Honda launched the facelifted City in February this year, while the next-generation Verna is likely to be launched in August. Maruti Suzuki also made the Ciaz lucrative after it shifted it to the Nexa range of premium dealerships.
