Engine & Gearbox

XC40 derives its power from a 2-litre, 4 cylinder turbocharged engine that pumps out 190 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. The Haldex AWD system also comes as a standard and makes offroading easier.

Competition

In India, the entry level premium SUV segment is very hot with offerings like Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and Land Rover Discovery Sport. Volvo XC40 should be a good competition, after all, it’s the recent European Car of the Year winner.
