Maruti Suzuki has remained the country’s most popular car manufacturer for decades, and therefore it’s interesting to know some of their future plans. Yes, that’s what the company has revealed in its annual report. Maruti Suzuki Upcoming Models-

We know that the company will be introducing its new hatchback, the Ignis along with the Boosterjet engine for the Baleno. The new S-Cross is already introduced in the international markets, and that will soon come to India. The company is also working on the updating the Swift, and numerous recent spy images of the new Swift have cropped up online. The new Swift is expected to be launched in early 2017, followed by the new Dzire. Moreover, minor updates can be expected for the Brezza and the Ciaz. Know about the three upcoming Maruti Models.

Technology Update to meet safety regulations and emission norms-

As the emission norms are getting stricter day by day, company’s need to invest in lowering the emissions further. The BS4 emission norms will be implemented in India by April 2017, and the Bharat NCAP (New Car Assesment Programme) will be applicable from 2019. Most of the Maruti Suzuki’s models are BS4 compliant. Talking about the safety, the company now offers optional airbag across all models while some models also feature ABS braking.

New generation platforms-

The recently launched Baleno hatchback features a completely new platform that is lighter than the Swift, and also offer better cabin space. The company has signed a deal with Tata and Mahindra to co-develop an all-electric vehicle for the Indian market. This deal will benefit from the FAME ( Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of hybrid and electric vehicles).
