If you are a bit of a petrol head and like to keep up-to-date with all things motoring, Twitter is a great source of news, views, and reviews but the tricky bit is sifting through the sheer volume of information and working out who is actually worth following.
With millions of tweets every day, sorting out the quality information from the banal and the plain strange could be incredibly time-consuming, not to mention dull. If you are looking to stay on top of the latest motoring gossip, reviews, news and perhaps the more tongue-in-cheek side of the world, then you might want to follow some of the top celebrities associated with the world of motoring – and they aren’t necessarily the first names that would spring to mind:

The renowned former Top Gear presenter and motoring expert has more than seven million followers on Twitter and counting. His tweets and updates attract thousands of likes and retweets on a daily basis. He talks about driving in London, his life, and of course, cars on his feed – you are sure to be entertained by his iconic and singular outlook on all things motoring. While a comedian might not seem the obvious Twitter celebrity to follow for driving, if you check out his timeline for posts labeled Seinfeld: CCC – it is a free online show he has created called “Comedians in cars getting coffee” and it’s free to watch. He picks up a classic car and then takes other comedians out for a drive, a chat and lots of laughs. He has around 4 million followers so far.
Humorous look at the world of motoring
If you are looking at the world of motoring in a more humorous way and if you already like Jeremy Clarkson, then check out this account – it’s not an obvious one but it is well worth following for a sartorial outlook on the world of motoring.

This Twitter account is run by Richard Porter who used to write the scripts for Top Gear. His stories provide a breath of fresh air in the car industry without taking the subject too seriously. He has a humorous outlook on the motoring industry providing sharp insights for his 76,800 followers.
