The renowned former Top Gear presenter and motoring expert has more than seven million followers on Twitter and counting. His tweets and updates attract thousands of likes and retweets on a daily basis. He talks about driving in London, his life, and of course, cars on his feed – you are sure to be entertained by his iconic and singular outlook on all things motoring. JERRY SEINFELD | @JerrySeinfeld 

While a comedian might not seem the obvious Twitter celebrity to follow for driving, if you check out his timeline for posts labeled Seinfeld: CCC – it is a free online show he has created called “Comedians in cars getting coffee” and it’s free to watch. He picks up a classic car and then takes other comedians out for a drive, a chat and lots of laughs. He has around 4 million followers so far.

Humorous look at the world of motoring

If you are looking at the world of motoring in a more humorous way and if you already like Jeremy Clarkson, then check out this account – it’s not an obvious one but it is well worth following for a sartorial outlook on the world of motoring.

This Twitter account is run by Richard Porter who used to write the scripts for Top Gear. His stories provide a breath of fresh air in the car industry without taking the subject too seriously. He has a humorous outlook on the motoring industry providing sharp insights for his 76,800 followers.

If what you are looking for is more information-focused than fun, then check out the Sunday Times Driving Twitter feed which is intended to be a total motoring resource center, although with some excellent writing thrown in so it’s far from dull.

While not strictly a motoring account, followers of Elon Musk are keen to learn about his plans and ventures into the future of motoring, and where better to find out than via his Twitter feed. The Tesla co-founder is definitely one to watch if you are into future technologies and electronic motoring.
