Devel Sixteen Hypercar

Hypercars have come a long way since the first holy trinity: Porsche 918, Ferrari LaFerrari, and McLaren P1. Imagine one of the craziest hypercar, and Devel Sixteen is what you’ll come up with. This jet fighter inspired car not only looks like a spaceship, but the performance numbers are unheard of in the industry.

Devel Motors is a Dubai based brand that plans to sell very exclusive hypercars. The prototype of their flagship car, the Devel Sixteen was first unvield at the 2017 Dubai International Autoshow. Devel Sixteen is very close to production now.

A Motor1.com follower Mark Holster came up with very realistic looking renderings. And the final production model should look very close to this.

The Devel Sixteen got lot of attention in 2017 when they claim far reaching performace numbers. This car will produce 5,0000 hp and will achieve a top speed of 320 mph (514 kmph). Powering the Sixteen will be a 12.3-litre V16 engine. Even engineers at Bugatti would raise their eyebrows at the performance claims.

The engine of Devel Sixteen is built by US based firm: Steve Morris Engines. This company used two Chevrolet LS V8 engines and combined them together to create a V16 engine. The LS engine is a durable and well tested engine in the performance car industry. Most crate car manufacturers also prefer to use this engine for same reason.

Steve Morris Engines went further and added four turbochargers to the V16 engine. The power figure of 5000 hp seem realistic now.

Youtuber Shmee150 said in one of his video that there will be 2000 hp and 3000 hp variants powered by V8 engine.

The final iteration of the car is still in works. But the renderings by Mark Holster helps us see what the finished product might look like. And it sure looks like something otherworldly.
