Bajaj’s Most Powerful Bike Launching in December

Pulsar CS400 Launching Next month will be Priced between Rs 1.5-1.7 lakh

Indian Two-wheeler giant, Bajaj Auto announced that they have started the production of its most powerful bike yet. Most likely, this motorcycle is the Pulsar CS400 that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. Some reports also suggest that this bike will be christened as Kratos VS400. The motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market next month.

This new motorcycle is believed to kickstart a new segment of power cruisers in the country. The company acknowledges that the cruiser segment is dominated by Royal Enfields but it also believes that the Pulsar CS400/Kratos VS400 can challenge it.

The design language of the bike is inspired from the Pulsar 200NS. It features LED headlight and taillight. The instrumentation on the bike is fully digital and the tell-tale lights are placed on the fuel tank.

The Bajaj Pulsar CS400/ Kratos VS400 will borrow the engine from the KTM 390 Duke. It is a 375 cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine. This engine will churn out 34.5PS of power and 33Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-Speed gearbox that will be tuned to offer power at a lower rpm range.

The bike will feature upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. The stopping power will come from disc brake both at the front and the rear. The pricing of the Bajaj’s most powerful bike yet is expected lie between Rs 1.5- Rs 1.8 lakhs.
