Nissan Terrano AMT Launched at Rs 13.75 lakh

Nissan Terrano gets AMT transmission option along with few minor updates

Petrolheads love driving a manual car, but the truth is that demand for the automatic transmission cars is quite high. To cater to this demand, Nissan has now introduced 110PS Terrano with 6-speed AMT transmission. Nissan Terrano is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that comes in two states of tune- 85PS and 110PS. A while back, Renault also launched the Duster with similar engine and transmission configuration.

The pricing for the Nissan Terrano AMT will lie in the range of Rs 13.75 lakh and Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be offered in XVD Premium variant spec. Powered by the 1.5-litre diesel engine tuned to deliver 110PS of power, the Terrano AMT is claimed to deliver 19.61 kmpl of fuel efficiency.

Along with the AMT transmission, the company has also added minor feature updates across all variants of Terrano. This includes backlit door switches, new door trim design, one touch indicators and automatic warning on emergency braking. Other variant specific features include electric folding wing mirrors with integrated indicators, anti-pinch driver side windows, new driver armrest, soft-touch dashboard and door trim. And not to forget, a new Sandstone Brown paint scheme.

Additional to all the features of XVD variant, the Terrano AMT will also get Hill Assist Control and Electronic Stability Program. The bookings for the Terrano AMT have started and the deliveries are expected to commence later this month. This vehicle competes with the Duster AMT (Price- Rs 12.97 lakh) and the Hyundai Creta automatic (Price- Rs 13.63 lakh).
