The Audi RS7 Sportback is one mental high-performance sedan that churns out 560PS and 700Nm of neck breaking torque. However, we do have some rare breed of petroholics in India that want more power. Therefore, Audi will be launching the RS7 Sportback performance edition in the month of October.

The RS7 Sportback Performance edition was previously showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. Powering it is the same 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine but in a different state of tune. With the overboost function, the engine now produces 605PS of max power and 750Nm of peak torque. How well it put down this power? Well, it does 0-100kph in just 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than normal RS7 while the top speed is still limited to 250kph.

From the exterior, the Performace version of the RS7 looks identical to the standard model. The car is based on the A7 that is already a very beautiful car. The RS7 with its huge honeycomb grill, Matrix headlamps and 21-inch alloy wheels looks menacing.

Inside, everything remains similar to the standard RS7, except the updated MMI unit and the drive select toggle located on the steering wheel. The interiors have a typical sophisticated feel to it and the quilted leather seats are comfortable enough for long highway cruising. Moreover, the standard air suspension should further add to the comfort level.

When launched next month, we expect the RS7 Sportback performance to be priced around Rs 1.8 crores ex-showroom. It will compete with cars like Maserati GranTurismo and BMW M6.
