A limited edition deviant of XUV500 Sportz Edition, the flagship model of UV specialist Mahindra in the Indian market has been launched. This one is a seven seater built on the W10 variant of the standard XUV500 and offers a choice between manual transmission (MT) and automatic transmission (AT). While the MT version is priced at Rs 16.53 lakh, the AT trim will cost Rs 17.56 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Following the version of this XUV500 before the facelift, the limited edition version has decorative sporty stickers on the ORVMs, lower sections of the doors and the bonnet. To add to the oomph, Mahindra has gone ahead to add some red on the brake callipers, roof rails, door handles and inserts in front fog lamps. It uses a darker hue of grey on the alloy wheels making it look more stylish. The revamp also features ‘Sportz’ badges on the rear of the car, dashboard, C-pillar and the key.
Being built on W10, this limited edition is brimming with some awesome comforts including ABS with EBD, all disc brakes, reverse parking camera with dynamic assist, half-a-dozen airbags, cruise control, electric sunroof, rain sensing wipers, micro hybrid technology and follow-me-home headlamps.
This revamp comes with no mechanical upgrades and hence it continues to be powered by the same engine- 2.2-litre mHAWK turbo-diesel, with power units of 140 PS and 330 Nm. 6-speeds gear ratios are offered by both its manual and automatic transmission variants. Moreover, the company’s all-wheel-drive system is offered as the basic equipment in both of its models.
