Mahindra XUV500 Facelift Launched

Mahindra has updated its popular SUV, the XUV500. The pricing for this SUV starts at Rs 12.32 lakh and goes upto Rs 17.88 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra XUV500 was facing tough competition from the cars like Jeep Compass and the Tata Hexa. Therefore, this new update should offer more value to the customers in this segment. The company is calling it the ‘Plush new XUV500’.

From the outside, the new XUV500 has the same silhouette but it does get a few changes at the front and rear. Then there is new front and rear bumper design and also refreshed DRL headlight and taillight design.

From the side, the new chrome detailing is new and 18-inch alloys are redesigned as well. Inside, the seats are now wrapped in leather, the infotainment unit is updated with phone and smartwatch connectivity. Under the hood, the diesel engine is now more powerful and the trim levels are also changed.

There are two engines on offer and 2.2-litre Petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The petrol motor makes 140PS of power along with 320Nm of torque. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is tweaked to make 15 PS more than before, translating to 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque. XUV500 with diesel engine can be had in multiple configurations as there are two gearboxes to choose from- 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual, and two drivetrain options- 2WD and 4WD. The Petrol XUV500 is limited in that aspect as it’s only offered with automatic gearbox in 2WD configuration. Checkout the latest price list-
