Nissan Motor India launched the 2017 updated edition of its flagship sedan, Nissan Sunny, on the 17th of this month. The brand new Sunny is available at all dealerships across India. To purchase the new features that have enhanced this fresh Sunny, you don’t have to spend an extra penny! Nissan India has not hiked the price and Sunny continue to retail at the ex-showroom price range of Rs 7.91 lakh to Rs 10.89 lakh.
On the colour front, there is a brand new option available to pick from. 2017 Sunny comes in a fresh Sandstone Brown colour, as an addition to the previous colour range. Another cosmetic change that has been made is the new chrome door handles. The exterior has not undergone any further changes. The interiors have also been altered to match the new look as the cabin now has an option of an all-black interior with black interior panels and seats in a premium black fabric.
As for the added features, Sunny is now endowed with benefits like push button start, intelligent key, and improved safety options such as electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking (ABS) and brake assist (BA) in all categories with dual side and front airbags. Some light on the mechanical side says that the new Sunny is powered by the same engine options, 1.5-litre HR 15 petrol or 1.5-litres k9k DCI diesel engine. The 1461 cc diesel motor makes 87PS of power and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the 1498 petrol motor makes 100PS of power and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional CVT unit.
“Nissan India is constantly listening to the voice of our customers. The New Sunny 2017 is a testimony to this with its spacious interior, comfortable drive feels and fuel-efficient engines. The new features and colour options offer more to our customers at the same price and we are confident this package will attract new Nissan car buyers”, said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India at the launch of Nissan Sunny 2017.
