Audi RS5 Coupe Launched in India

Audi India has launched the latest RS5 Coupe in India today. The price of this super coupe has been kept at Rs 1.1 crore ex-showroom. Audi RS5 Coupe is based on the new second-generation MLB platform that is also found on the A4, A5, and Q7. The RS performance department has sprinkled its magic to make it fast enough to take on some supercars.

Audi RS5 is powered by a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 petrol engine that pumps out 450 PS of power between 5700-6700 rpm and 600 Nm of torque between 1900-5000 rpm. The torque delivery of this new engine is so brutal that the Audi’s DSG gearbox couldn’t deal with it. Therefore, Audi has to go with the 8-Speed ZF automatic in the new RS5 Coupe. This same engine is used in the Porsche Panamera with the dual clutch PDK gearbox, but Porsche didn’t share that gearbox with Audi.

This setup allows the cars to reach 0-100 kph in just 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 kph (electronically limited). Apart from the performance, another good thing about this car is its fuel efficiency of 10.28 Km/L.

The Audi RS5 Coupe can be had in eight colours, including the Sonoma Green and the Nardo Grey. Being a top-spec Audi, the RS5 comes with all the features that you can imagine in such car. Some features worth mentioning are dynamic steering, sport seats, self-locking differential, Audi Virtual cockpit, and Bang & Olufsen sound system.
