Tata Motors: Price Hike After New Year’s Eve
Complete TATA line-up will see price jump of Rs 5,000 To Rs 25,000
Indian car maker, Tata Motors announced a price hike across its model range. The company revealed that several macroeconomic factors contributed to this price jump that will be applicable from 1st January 2017. The engine passenger vehicle range of Tata will see a price hike in the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000.
According to Mr Mayank Pareek, president, passenger vehicle business, Tata Motors, “The increase in prices of raw material commodities like steel, aluminium, copper and rubber over a period of time has put a lot of pressure on us and as a resultant, we are forced to hike prices of our passenger vehicles. We are seeing good demand for our cars and have witnessed month on month growth owing to the TIAGO. We are gearing up for our next launch of the HEXA in January 2017.”
Apart from this, the company is heavily promoting its upcoming crossover- Hexa. Drives and experience centres are being put up all across the country to create a buzz around this offering that will be launched on 18th January 2017. The pricing of the Tata Hexa is likely to fall near Rs 12 Lakh mark where it will compete with the Mahindra XUV500 and the Toyota Innova Crysta.
